Jinan Metro Line 7 has reached several key construction milestones, with the main structures of Shanda Road Station and Fenghuang South Road Station now topped out, and the completion of twin tunnels between Long'ao Building Station and Muniu Mountain Park Station.

The completed tunneling section is considered one of the most challenging parts of the line. With a twin-tunnel length exceeding 3,500 meters and a maximum depth of nearly 140 meters, the section navigates through hard granite and complex geological conditions, including karst caves and multiple close-proximity crossings.

To address these challenges, the project team used dual-mode shield tunneling machines with customized wear-resistant cutter heads, improving excavation efficiency and operational stability. A 24-hour intelligent monitoring system ensured safe tunneling beneath existing transit infrastructure without settlement or disruption.

Construction of above-ground structures continues simultaneously. Following the topping out of Fenghuang South Road and Shanda Road stations, both sites have moved into the next phase, including mechanical and electrical installation, interior finishing, and supporting facility construction.

To date, 16 of the line's 23 stations have their main structures completed, while 14 tunneling sections have achieved twin-tunnel breakthroughs, marking steady progress toward the completion of Jinan Metro Line 7.
