On September 1, the 2025 China International Macsabal Wood-Fire Festival commenced at Zhujiazhuang Ceramic Art Research Center in Zibo, China's Shandong Province. This year's event brought together nearly 60 ceramic artists from nine countries, including China, the United States, Greece, Peru, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and India. During the 11-day event, participants will engage in wood-fired ceramic creation and in-depth cultural exchanges. Using clay as a medium and kiln fire as a bond, artists from around the world will collaboratively write a new chapter of mutual learning in culture.

Since 2005, the China (Zibo) International Macsabal Wood-Fire Festival has attracted over 450 international and 800 domestic ceramic artists, who have collectively created more than 1,200 collectible ceramic artworks.

This year's festival offers a diverse lineup of activities, including ceramic art research and experience, a beer music festival, pickleball competitions, and an international ceramic art forum, alongside its core creative and exchange events.
The event not only provides a key platform for Zibo's ceramic culture industry to enter the international arena and innovate in Chinese ceramic art, but also significantly enhances the influence of the "Zibo Ceramics - Contemporary National Kiln" brand, promoting fine traditional Chinese culture worldwide.
