The 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Shandong Province, will be held in Qingdao from June 15 to 17. Under the theme Joining Hands for Innovation and a Bright Future in the 15th Five-Year Plan Period, it demonstrates China's commitment to advancing high-standard opening-up and Shandong's resolve to deepen international cooperation.

The summit features a high-caliber, diverse lineup. So far, 435 corporate guests have confirmed their attendance, with overseas participants coming from 36 countries and regions. A total of 23 events in four categories will be staged, covering investment, trade, industrial exchanges and regional cooperation, featuring diverse and substantive formats. A host of innovative initiatives will also be launched, including country-specific business days, the guest province program and an industry-finance collaboration platform.
Yan Dong, Vice Minister of Commerce, noted that since its launch in 2019, the summit has centered on the theme Multinational Corporations and China and made notable contributions to high-standard opening-up. Global enterprises are now eager to secure stable markets and long-term cooperation opportunities. More than 20,000 new foreign-invested enterprises were registered nationwide in the first four months of this year, up 6.8% year on year. China has become a preferred destination for multinationals pursuing future development.
Wen Nuan, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, stated that this year's summit will precisely target four areas: attracting foreign investment, outbound investment, foreign trade cooperation, and institutional opening up. It will both deepen cooperation with traditional markets and expand into emerging markets, accelerating the integration of Shandong enterprises into the global market.
