Construction on the SkyShuttle line in eastern Jinan was officially completed on May 25.
Spanning a total length of 30.7 kilometers, the elevated track runs through Jinan Innovation Zone and Licheng district. It features 32 stations and one integrated depot, offering transfer connections to Jinan Metro Lines 2, 4, and 8 upon the line's completion.
Next, efforts will focus on power supply, communication, and signal cable installation, as well as equipment and vehicle testing, to ensure the line isready for operation by the end of the year.
The line is expected to greatly facilitate travel for residents and employees and play a crucial role in the integration of industry and urban living.
The initial configuration of the city's SkyShuttle will feature two-car formations, with each train measuring approximately 17.6 meters in length and 2.4 meters in width. Each train has a rated capacity of 140 passengers and a maximum operating speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
The system, which features intelligent information technology enabling fully automated operation, runs on an exclusive right-of-way and has a high safety rating.
