East China's Shandong province is revitalizing summer consumption through a series of unique fairs featuring Yellow River, Grand Canal, and ocean culture. The events aim to harness local culture to boost the economy, creating a vibrant atmosphere that attracts both locals and visitors.

In the Yantai Huang-Bohai New Area, the ocean fair featured over 126 booths with more than 1,400 types of products, including local specialties like salmon, wine, and traditional Shandong pastries. The event drew nearly 10,000 attendees, many of whom were young people seeking a trendy way to experience local culture and products.

Other regions in Shandong are also leveraging the fairs to promote their unique goods. In Liaocheng, over 200 types of local agricultural products were showcased at the Grand Canal fair. In Zouping, the Yellow River fair highlighted local delicacies such as Changshan yam and Qingyang millet, which were sold both on-site and through live-streaming e-commerce.

In addition to selling products, the fairs are also platforms for policy promotion. For example, in Juxian county, a summer ocean fair combined with an electric bicycle trade-in program was launched to boost rural consumption. Over 30 events were planned across the county, with local businesses actively participating in and promoting relevant policies.
