The Qi Great Wall Culture Museum has opened to the public in Laiwu district, Jinan, serving as a key project for the protection and revitalization of the Great Wall of the ancient Qi state, one of the dominant powers during the Spring and Autumn (770-476 BC) and Warring States (475-221 BC) periods.
Covering nearly 5,000 square meters, the museum is part of the Jinyangguan section protection initiative. The Great Wall of the ancient Qi state, which dates back more than 2,600 years, is the oldest existing Great Wall in China. The Laiwu section, stretching 64.16 kilometers, is among the best-preserved parts and is known for its military and cultural heritage.
The museum features several themed exhibition zones, presenting the site's history through a combination of excavated artifacts, immersive video installations, and interactive multimedia displays. These exhibits offer insights into the Wall's role in ancient defense systems as well as cultural exchange.
The facility also includes areas for collection storage and public services, supporting both preservation and visitor engagement.
The museum is open to the public free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday.
