
The 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) concluded on May 5. Shandong trading delegation (Provincial, Jinan and Qingdao delegations) achieved a tentative transaction volume of 1.93 billion US dollars at the fair, up 6.93% year on year, according to Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce.
Shandong Province has thoroughly advanced the "Shandong Business Going Global" international market expansion initiative and coordinated the efforts of three major trading delegations - the Provincial, Jinan and Qingdao delegations. 3,261 enterprises were organized to participate with 5,530 booths, with the exhibition scale hitting a record high.The exhibits span all sectors and full product categories, covering high-end manufactured goods such as smart home appliances and engineering machinery, quality daily necessities including daily consumer goods and textiles and apparel, as well as featured products such as food, agricultural produce, healthcare and medical supplies.

Shandong's exhibitor structure continues to be optimized with steady improvement in overall quality. At this Canton Fair, enterprises representing new quality productive forces, including national high-tech enterprises, manufacturing individual champions and specialized, sophisticated, distinctive and innovative "little giant" enterprises, account for over 35 percent of all participants, up further from the previous session. Exhibits are accelerating their shift toward high-end, intelligent and green development, with the number of products in high-end equipment, smart manufacturing and green low-carbon sectors rising by nearly 20%.
