The 2026 Hong Kong–Macao–Shandong Week will take place from May 18 to 22 under the theme "Joining hands for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–30)". The event aims to deepen Shandong's collaboration with the two special administrative regions through business, cultural, and talent exchange activities.
Three flagship events are scheduled: the opening ceremony, a symposium with representatives from Hongkong and Macao, and a high-level roundtable on economic and trade cooperation. Eight supporting activities will focus on talent and industrial integration, brand promotion of Shandong's quality products, cultural tourism, and agricultural investment and trade with Portuguese-speaking countries.
This year, Shandong will present 115 top projects in high-end equipment, new materials, and the digital economy, inviting partners to co-build industry ecosystems. Several key cooperation agreements are expected to be signed.
By 2025, Shandong had 6,736 Hong Kong-invested enterprises in operation and 72 Macao-invested enterprises. By March 2026, 74 Shandong companies are listed in Hong Kong, raising 117.2 billion yuan ($17.24 billion) in IPO funds. The event is set to further boost this proud partnership.
