当地时间10月9日，2026尼科西亚图书节(Nicosia Book Fest)在塞浦路斯首都尼科西亚正式拉开帷幕。由《塞中时报》(Cyprus China Times)牵头主办的2026塞浦路斯中国微书展亮相本届图书节11号展位，携手中国外文局西欧与非洲传播中心、长江出版集团北京中心、济南国际传播中心、中国国际旅行社总社有限公司、塞浦路斯大学孔子学院、盛世同创、北京中塞中心等多家机构，以书籍为桥梁，向塞浦路斯民众展示多彩中国文化，在东地中海之畔生动讲述当代中国故事。
Local time on 9 October, the 2026 Nicosia Book Fest kicked off in Nicosia, capital of Cyprus. The 2026 Cyprus Mini Chinese Book Fair, led and hosted by the Cyprus China Times, debuted at Booth 11 of the book festival. Working together with multiple institutions including the Western Europe‑Africa Communication Center of China International Communications Group, Changjiang Publishing Group Beijing Centre, Jinan International Communication Center, China International Travel Service Corporation Limited, the Confucius Institute at the University of Cyprus, Shengshi Tongchuang and the Beijing China‑Cyprus Center, the event takes books as a bridge to present diverse Chinese culture to Cypriot people and vividly tell contemporary Chinese stories on the shores of the Eastern Mediterranean.
尼科西亚图书节是塞浦路斯本土极具影响力的全民阅读文化盛会，本届活动于10月9日至11日举办，汇聚多国出版机构、文化团体，搭建跨国阅读与文明交流平台。《塞中时报》作为深耕塞浦路斯、联通中塞两国的华文媒体，本次以图书节为契机，策划推出中国微书展(Mini Chinese Book Fair)，打造专属中国文化展示空间，让塞浦路斯读者近距离接触中国读物。
As a highly influential national reading and cultural gala in Cyprus, this year’s Nicosia Book Fest runs from 9 to 11 October. It brings together publishing houses and cultural organisations from many countries, building a platform for cross‑border reading and civilisational exchange. As a Chinese‑language media rooted in Cyprus and linking China and Cyprus, Cyprus China Times seized the opportunity of the book festival to launch the Mini Chinese Book Fair. It created an exclusive exhibition space for Chinese culture, enabling Cypriot readers to get close access to Chinese publications.
在11号展台上，整齐陈列着多语种中国主题图书，涵盖中国当代发展、经典文学名著、红色经典、丝路文化等多个门类。多个语种版本的《习近平谈治国理政》(1-4)向不同族裔和国籍的当地民众展示中国特色发展道路及理念;英文版《西游记》《三国演义》《水浒传》《红楼梦》四大名著译本吸引不少当地读者驻足翻阅;《中国日报》《今日中国》外文报刊，直观展现中国社会发展、民生风貌与现代化建设成就;《长征的故事》等经典读物，向海外读者传递中国精神。展台同步展出济南泉城主题文化海报、敦煌丝路文创视觉展板，一边是泉城济南的现代都市风光与传统泉水文化，一边是敦煌壁画飞天、大漠石窟的千年丝路美学，传统文明与当代发展交相辉映，立体呈现中国古今交融的独特魅力。
At Booth 11. multilingual books with Chinese themes are neatly displayed on purple shelves, covering contemporary China’s development, classic literary masterpieces, red‑themed classics and Silk Road culture. Multilingual editions of The Governance of China (Volumes 1‑4) demonstrate China’s distinctive development path and ideas to local audiences of different ethnic groups and nationalities. English translations of China’s Four Great Classical Novels — Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Water Margin and A Dream of Red Mansions — attract many local readers to stop and browse. Foreign‑language newspapers and periodicals such as China Daily and China Today intuitively show China’s social progress, people’s livelihood and achievements in modernisation. Classic readings including Stories of the Long March convey the Chinese spirit to overseas readers. On display are also cultural posters of Jinan, the City of Springs, as well as visual boards of Dunhuang Silk‑Road cultural creations. They present the modern urban scenery and traditional spring‑water culture of Jinan alongside the millennium‑old Silk‑Road aesthetics of Dunhuang flying‑apsara murals and desert grottoes. Traditional civilisation and contemporary development complement each other, fully demonstrating China’s unique charm where the ancient and the modern meet.
本次微书展得到多家国内机构协同支持。长江出版集团北京中心带来知名文化学者、观复博物馆创办人马未都的《国宝100》系列与文化随笔集《小文99》，以通俗生动的文字解读中华文物、历史美学;知名国学和中医学者曲黎敏的《从头到脚说健康》，立足传统养生智慧，将传统生命观融入当代日常。济南国际传播中心(塞浦路斯分中心)带来济南城市主题外宣物料，将泉城的泉水文化、高端制造、科创成果、山东省服装设计协会鲁锦产业中心的鲁锦展示带到塞浦路斯，让当地民众认识这座兼具古韵与活力的中国城市。中国国旅打造的“星旅集”发挥文旅资源优势，助力中华文化海外传播，推动中塞文旅交流。盛世同创、北京中塞中心等合作单位，共同提供优质外文出版物、文化视觉素材与文创内容，丰富书展的展示层次。中国外文局西欧与非洲传播中心依托对外传播专业优势，共同策划内容，助力用海外受众易于理解的方式阐释中国发展理念。
The Mini Chinese Book Fair has received coordinated support from multiple domestic Chinese institutions. Changjiang Publishing Group Beijing Centre presented works by Ma Weidu, renowned cultural scholar and founder of the Guanfu Museum, including his series 100 National Treasures and essay collection Essays 99. which interpret Chinese cultural relics and historical aesthetics in vivid and accessible language. It also featured Understanding Health from Head to Toe by well‑known sinology and traditional Chinese medicine scholar Qu Limin, who integrates traditional outlooks on life into modern daily life based on ancient wellness wisdom. Jinan International Communication Center (Cyprus Branch) brought Jinan‑themed external publicity materials, introducing Jinan’s spring‑water culture, high‑end manufacturing, Lu‑brocade intangible heritage and scientific‑technological achievements to Cyprus, helping local people know this Chinese city blending ancient charm and vitality. Star‑Travel Collection developed by China International Travel Service Corporation Limited gives full play to cultural‑tourism resources to support the overseas communication of Chinese culture and boost Sino‑Cypriot cultural‑tourism exchanges. Partners including Shengshi Tongchuang and the Beijing China‑Cyprus Center jointly provided high‑quality foreign‑language publications, cultural visual materials and cultural‑creative content to enrich the exhibition. Leveraging its professional strengths in international communication, the Western Europe‑Africa Communication Center of China International Communications Group participated in content planning to help interpret China’s development ideas in ways easy for overseas audiences to understand.
展台自开展以来，不断有塞浦路斯本地读者、作家、各国参展嘉宾前来参观翻阅。不少当地民众驻足翻看英文译本的中国古典小说，对敦煌艺术、济南泉水文化表现出浓厚兴趣。有参观者表示，通过这些外文书籍，得以跳出固有认知，直观了解中国的历史文学、丝路文明与现代化发展成果。现场搭建的户外主舞台，也将在图书节期间举办多场文化分享活动，为中塞文化对话创造更多机会。
Since the opening of the exhibition, local Cypriot readers, writers and international exhibitor guests have kept coming to visit and read books on display. Many local residents stop to read English‑language Chinese classical novels and show strong interest in Dunhuang art and Jinan’s spring‑water culture. Some visitors commented that these foreign‑language books help them break away from inherent stereotypes and gain direct understanding of China’s history, literature, Silk‑Road civilisation and modern‑day achievements. Multiple cultural sharing sessions will be held on the on‑site outdoor main stage throughout the book festival, creating more opportunities for Sino‑Cypriot cultural dialogue.

According to Quan Wanxue, publisher of Cyprus China Times, books serve as the gentlest carrier for civilisational dialogue. Located in the Mediterranean, Cyprus lies at the intersection of Eastern and Western civilisations, and the Nicosia Book Fest acts as an excellent platform for exchange. Though small‑scale, the Mini Chinese Book Fair embodies the vision of mutual learning between Chinese and Cypriot civilisations. Going forward, Cyprus China Times will continue to cooperate with domestic Chinese communication, cultural‑tourism and cultural institutions. It will make full use of local Cypriot cultural platforms, roll out high‑quality content, tell a true, multi‑faceted and comprehensive China story, consolidate people‑to‑people bonds between Chinese and Cypriot peoples, and further deepen people‑to‑people exchanges between China, Cyprus and the broader Eastern‑Mediterranean region.

The Nicosia Book Fest will run until 11 October. Over the three‑day event, the Mini Chinese Book Fair will receive local residents and visitors from all countries. It lets the fragrance of books travel across mountains and seas and writes a new chapter of Sino‑Cypriot friendship in the Mediterranean.
